Marie Severin was
an artist and colorist who worked for EC Comics and Marvel Comics. Her brother
worked for EC, and needed a colorist, and brought her in. After an industry
downturn, she returned to comics in 1959, working for Marvel. She worked on the
Sum-Mariner, Doctor Strange, The Amazing Spider-Man and many others. An
award-winning comics artist, she was inducted to the Will Eisner Comics Hall of
Fame in 2001.
