Ramona Fradon may
be best known for her work illustrating Brenda Starr, and was the co-creator of
the character Metamorpho. Her first comics job was on DC’s Shining Knight, and
later Aquaman. She took a break from comics to raise her daughter, but returned
to DC. When Dale Messic retired from the newspaper strip Brenda Starr, she took
over as artist until she retired in 1995. She was inducted to the Comic Book
Hall of Fame in 2006.
